Great Decisions Program Discussion, “International Migration” with Juris Pupcenoks, Assistant Professor of Political Science at Marist College, and World Affairs Council of the Mid-Hudson Valley Board member, as facilitator.

As a record number of migrants, fleeing conflicts in Syria, Iraq, and parts of Africa, cross the Mediterranean seeking refuge in Europe, the continent is struggling to come up with an adequate response. A number of world powers are facing a difficult question: how can they balance border security with humanitarian concerns?
